On 18 April 2024, a Royal Decree regarding the creation of the ‘Service for Combating Online Piracy and Illegal Online Gambling’ was issued. This Royal Decree contains the implementing measures and the date of entry into force of the provisions on counterfeiting of the Law of 19 June 2022 transposing the DSM Directive 2019/790, and the provisions on illegal online gambling of the Programme Law of 22 December 2023.

On 25 April 2024, a Royal Decree was issued to establish the conditions and procedures for the collection and distribution, by a collecting society, of an appropriate share of the remuneration that press publishers receive from information society service providers for the use of their press publications.
